ENGINE OVERVIEW

S&S engines for 1984–’99 Harley Davidson® big twins with carbureted Evolution® engines are available as complete engines. V80 and V111 engines are also available as long blocks, with no fuel or ignition systems. Choose from natural, as-cast aluminum finish, wrinkle black powder coat, or Black Edition finishes. In addition to the S&S line of Performance Engines, emissions compliant engines are available that meet EPA, CARB, and European Union requirements for certain models. BLACK EDITION S&S Cycle’s new Black Edition engines combine classic wrinkle black with high gloss black powder coated covers for a subtle contrast and elegant look while still producing the power and reliability you've come to expect. V124 (124 CID) The V124 engine first appeared in the S&S Catalog in 2002, and being the biggest engine we make that will fit in a stock frame for this year group, has been the go-to engine for daily rider hot rods. Natural aluminum, wrinkle black powder coat, or polished finishes. Available as a complete engine only in performance and emissions compliant versions. V111 (111 cid) The S&S V111 engine was engineered to be the ultimate sport touring engine. The shorter stroke produces less vibration and engine noise, and it increases engine life. The 111 cid produces plenty of power. Available in natural aluminum, wrinkle black, polished, or black edition finishes. Performance versions are available as long blocks or complete engines. Emissions compliant versions are available as complete engines only. Super E carbs and HI-4N ignition modules are recommended engine management for long blocks. V96 (96 cid) The S&S V96 engine has been a popular choice with performance riders and builders since it was introduced in the mid- 1990s. Near stock engine height makes it easy to install, and there’s plenty of power to pass. Available in natural aluminum, wrinkle black, or polished finishes. Complete engines only. Performance and emissions compliant versions are available. V80 (80 cid) The S&S V80 engine is logical choice for riders who just want to repower their trusty Evolution® powered Harley-Davidson® big twin. With slightly more power than a stock 80” engine, the V80 offers great engine life, low vibration, and trouble free operation. Natural aluminum or wrinkle black powder coat finishes. Available as a complete engine or as a long block, without fuel or ignition systems. Super E carbs and HI-4N ignition modules are recommended engine management for long blocks.
