SPECIAL APPLICATION CRANKCASES FOR 1986–'03 FOR HARLEY-DAVIDSON® SPORTSTER® & 1994–'02 BUELL® MODELS Engine Cam Geometry 4" Bore Sportster/Buell 1986–'90 31-1012 31-1012NS • All S&S crankcases use 5-speed transmission and primary components. • These cases will not accept 4-speed transmission. • Not compatible with stock flywheel assemblies. •Since S&S Special Application crankcases are .500" wider than stock, they require part #33-2329 +.500" pinion shaft and S&S Special Application tappet guides. • Requires use of S&S cam cover gasket.
