FLYWHEEL ASSEMBLIES PRESSED EVO STROKER FLYWHEEL ASSEMBLIES ONLY

CARBURETOR ONLY

These flywheel assemblies are the same assemblies used in the JIMS ® EVO press series stroker kits but without pistons. When considering your pistons, use the piston chart below to arrive at the desired balance factor for use without modifying the flywheel assembly. Anything out of the chart’s range will need to be balanced by an experi- enced engine builder. Please note, the below weights are based on the entire piston assembly including pistons, wristpins, circlips and rings. For use on pre 1973 use a piston designed for a 7.440” rod. These kits are shipped with standard length sprocket and pinion shafts. These kits can be installed into 1984-99 cases with standard pin- ion shaft races (No.24599-58B, No.24599-58A, etc.). Pinion bearings No.24628-87 may also be used. For 3-5/8” bore pistons, motor cases will have to be bored to install 3-5/8” cylinders. Use tool #1409, see pg.168. For 1990-99 motors, use JIMS ® Pinion Gear No.24043-78, JIMS ® oil pump drive gear No.26349-84 (with JIMS ® Key No.2480K), and JIMS ® Nut No.24023-54. • Parts not available separately. For more details see No.1972-IS instructions PISTON BALANCE FACTORS FOR JIMS ® STROKERS Below is a list of total piston weights. Example: (906 grams to 938 grams is the weight of two pistons, two sets of rings, two wrist pins and two wrist pin clips.) If the total weight of the pistons you are supplying, weigh from (906 to 938 grams) they can be used with any of the three flywheel assemblies listed below to give you a balance factor of approximately 60%. An approximate 60% bal- ance factor is best suited for higher RPM riding (shifting at a higher RPM) or a lower gear ratio. An approximate 52% balance factor is best suited for a little less RPM riding, or a little higher gear ratio. 60% To maintain a balance factor of 60% both pistons with rings, pins, and clips should weigh between 906 grams and 938 grams. 56% To maintain a balance factor of 56% both pistons with rings, pins, and clips should weigh between 1021 grams and 1051 grams. 52% To maintain a balance factor of 52% both pistons with rings, pins, and clips should weigh between 1136 grams and 1166 grams.
