James Clark was a motorcycle enthusiast. He had a life-long passion for riding, and began wrenching on his own and friends bikes in his parents garage early on. Being dissatisfied with the gaskets that he found availa- ble, he began to cultivate his own ideas for improved sealing technology. In 1977 James started the James Motorcycle Parts Company. Paying close attention to quality and fit, he quickly gained a reputation for producing superior gaskets and seals. James began supplying gaskets and complete rebuild kits for engine and transmission overhauls for a variety of Harley-Davidson models to an ever-growing group of enthusiasts and was credited with providing the much-needed sealing solution for the American V-Twin. In 1979 James Gaskets, Inc. was officially born. James continued to add more gaskets and seals to the prod- uct line, making improvements along the way. Development of new products and the demand for Genuine James Gaskets and seals continued to increase. Before long James Gaskets was producing the most complete product line of Harley-Davidson aftermarket gaskets and seals in the industry. James’ reputation for produc- ing superior gaskets combined with his professional and personal ethic earned him the respect of industry leaders. The James Gaskets product line is known worldwide, with distributors throughout North America, Europe, Australia and Asia; a long way from the humble garage beginnings to the world-renowned company James Gaskets is today!
