Kibblewhite Premium Valve Guides Guide profiles are designed to be as clean and unobstructive to the airstream as possible while maintaining critical cross sectional thickness in high temperature areas. Guides have a flange that allows for .600” valve lift with no machining required. Once the flange touches the head you’re home. No time lost stopping to measure guide protrusion. Radius at the beginning of the taper prevents galling on installation. Cast Iron Guides: After chemically separating several samples of cast iron material for analysis and evaluating the test data, we decided to have our own specification of cast iron made. We specify elements such as carbon, silicon, manganese, nickel, chromium, copper and sulfur to produce a highly pearlitic structure with dense fine grains for excellent wear resistance. Premium Bronze Guides: Contains 80% Copper, 5% Nickel, and 10% Aluminum The high copper and aluminum content mean excellent thermal characteristics helping conduct heat away from the valve stems, keeping the valves cool. The high nickel content make this a tough material that remains stable at high temperatures. ‘O’ ring beneath flange prevents oil from leaking down around OD of guide. Enhanced seal detail accepts and retains OEM and aftermarket seals. This material has excellent hardness, durability and anti-seizure properties. Exactly what you need for true high performance applications. Manganese Bronze Guides: Manganese bronze ia a copper based based material alloyed with Nickle and 1-4% Manganese to harden. Because of its excellent thermal conductivity and Nickle content Manganese promotes valve life and makes for an ideal valve guide material. Easily and quickly to ream due to the lower presence of Nickle. Machined to accept all OEM and/or aftermarket seals.
