Vulcan Engineering Compression Releases Made out of stainless steel these compression releases have the correct pop-off rate for Harley engines. Drill and tap a hole preferably on the spark plug side of the head into the combustion chamber. They have a 10mm x 1.0 thread pitch. Comes in variable over all lengths and thread lengths. Automatic Compression Releases Save your starter and battery from the unneeded wear and tear caused by big inch motors. These handy devices are used in conjunction with 2-plug heads and are a breeze to use. Install one in each of the right side plug holes, push down the cap and hit the starter or kick ‘er over. Your bike will start as if it were easier than stock and when it does start, the compression release valves will close automatically. This makes your high compression motor streetable or enables your motor to start with a weak battery. Available in 12 mm and 14 mm to fit most motors.
