SPEEDSTER EXHAUST

The Cobra Speedster exhaust is our top-of-the-line system. Speedsters display a classic 2-into-2 style, while offering uncommon beauty and superior performance. Full-length 2.5-inch diameter heat shields wrap 222º around the exhaust pipe beginning at the exhaust ports and flowing down to the end of the pipe where they are capped off with chromed billet tips on all but the Swept versions. It’s a stylish system that also uncorks the stock bike’s sound and performance. That’s because the Speedsters offer class-leading performance due in large part to the Cobra PowerPort, an engineering advancement that provides a jump in horsepower and torque over the stock motorcycle. The PowerPort also improves the overall rideability while remaining discreetly out of sight. And it does that while retaining all the great sound and style you expect from Cobra. POWERPORT We designed the PowerPort to provide a significant unseen behind the Speedster’s full-length heat shields. We also located the PowerPort in the muffler section that allows for an easier installation because the customer can install the head pipes individually. SPEEDSTER SHORT RPT The Speedster Short exhaust with Race Pro Tips (RPT) make use of all of the high-tech features of our regular 2.5-inch Speedster systems. It uses the PowerPort for increased power and uses 1.75-inch constant velocity cores for exceptional sound and performance. The RPT designation comes from adapting the design from our Race Pro 4-inch muffler into this full system. The 2.5-inch heat shields expand to 2.75-inches at the end. The tips mimic the Race Pro machined design, and are held in place with 12-point bolts. On the black version the tip is clear coated, machined aluminum, while the chrome version offers a black tip. performance increase similar to what you would expect to gain with a 2-into-1 system. We spent a lot of time in the dyno room with the PowerPort to achieve that power gain and also to improve the overall rideability of the motorcycle.
