Clutch Kit - Friction Plate Kit - Finally, a single clutch kit for all applications, wet or dry. All Big Twins from 1941-E84. Consist of 5 friction plates made on a steel core, using our exclusive “molded” Carbon Fiber Friction Compound. It will handle all your clutch needs, whether you’re running an open belt drive, sealed primary or conventional set-up. Resists “Glazing” which causes chatter/noisy engagement. Tolerates extreme heat, suitable for all High Performance applications. The porosity of the compounds adapts it perfectly to wet applications for a smooth, positive, no slip clutch action. Extra-Plate Clutch Kit–Wet/Dry - Consists of six bonded friction plates, one steel plate and a set of heavy-duty clutch springs. On pre-1968 models, an extra steel drive plate is required (either stock or our No. 401-30-119006). This kit adds approximately 20% more clutch surface area. Sintered Iron Friction Plate - For racing applications only. 160” Thick, 6 required per clutch pack.
