New and improved Stage 1 design for 17-up touring models for use with factory air cleaner cover In addition to our patented hidden breather backing plate technology, we reshaped the backing plate to match the factory cover and added an outer lip that wraps around the filter base resulting in a clean look while better securing the filter The new aluminum filter top plate has integrated filter mounting studs and directional air venturi for increased durability and performance. The top plate eliminates the need for additional filter mounting hard- ware and a steel filter plate Performance filter is constructed from red pre-oiled surgical grade cotton and is washable/re-usable Our filter offers over 200% more surface area then the factory filter and features a tapered bottom resulting in more filter surface area then any other performance intake option designed for the 17-up FLT factory cover Backing plates available in standard, gloss black or chrome finish Each kit includes one-piece backing plate, performance filter, filter top plate, gaskets and necessary hardware
